“Purple Monster” by FileArchiveHaven

Purple monster

Day after day, I spend a few hours traveling by train and metro to get to work. As such, I’m still armed with a game or two to make this long journey bearable. Purple Monster is an endless running game in which you guide the colorful creature through the labyrinth of tunnels and fatal pits. As you dodge obstacles and fall to death, you must also satisfy the monster’s obsession with collecting coins and gems. All you have to do is type or press the space bar on QWERTY devices, to jump in and you are on your way.

This cute and challenging game does its job of keeping me busy and oblivious to my surroundings while on the go to and from work. Purple Monster is compatible with all BlackBerry 10 phones and costs $ 0.99 to download from BlackBerry World.

Pocket casts by Shifty Jelly

Pocket casts

As the owner of BlackBerry Priv, I scoured Google Play to try to find a decent podcast app. Needless to say, there is no shortage of Android podcast apps. Pocket Casts offers an array of features to help you find, subscribe, and listen to your favorite content in a snap. This cross-platform player includes support for Chromecast, filters for unread or downloaded episodes, storage options, controls via widgets, Android Wear and Pebble, as well as notification center, cloud sync, variable speed playback and various settings to suit your preferences. What stands out to me is the way the interface is designed. It’s fast, smooth, and stylish, especially when discovering new podcasts.

You can buy this full podcast player for $ 3.99 from Google Play. Since it is cross-platform, you can sync all your devices.

Fenix for Twitter by mvilla

Fenix for Twitter

Since I’m usually not the type to stick to the native Twitter app, it was time to hit Google Play to find one for the Priv. Fenix for Twitter offers a wide range of great features to give you a personalized Twitter experience. Speaking of customization, it allows users to switch between a light, dark, or true black theme, as well as the ability to customize navigation by hiding unwanted sections.

What first caught my attention was the visually appealing interface and the beautiful layout. It also supports preview images and videos directly from the timeline. Last, but not least, Fenix will appeal to BlackBerry 10 users because of its scanning capabilities. You can swipe across all sections of the app, swipe to close a tweet, or even swipe to compose a new tweet. Fenix is a full-featured Twitter client available in Google Play for $ 5.49. One important thing I need to add is that users will need to go to settings to set notifications as they are not enabled by default.

Square.Hop.SPIKE !!!

From the developer who brought you Pests comes this interesting and fun little game. The principle is quite simple. As the little square moves across the playing field, users need to tap to make it jump over obstacles and collect the rings. There are 65 levels in the premium version and 20 in the free version. Each ends when your square hits the tip. While the first few levels / stages are easy to conquer, the later ones are difficult. You can download the free upgrade to the full version for $ 0.99. For those of you who have recently purchased the Pebble Time, Pebble Time Steel, or Pebble Time Round, this app is for you. The application comes with a watchapp to connect Pebble Time to your device. Please note that you need to have three apps installed for Bridge to work properly. First, isTalk2Watch Pro, although the headless feature should be turned off, next comes the Android Pebble Time app, which can be downloaded from Snap, and then the Bridge app, which will prompt you to download the app. Bridge Watch.
