Presentation of the BlackBerry application for June 13, 2014

Hi CrackBerry readers. The second week of the #MobileFit month is coming to an end, so I have to ask you how your fitness goals are going? Remember, there is still time to read helpful articles, browse the forums for tips and tricks, or participate in the FitBit Challenge!

Just because it’s Friday the 13th doesn’t mean we can’t have fun and check out all the choices I have for you this week by clicking on the gallery below. If your favorite was missed this week, remember that you can help by offering your suggestions at the end.

Bubble Bash Mania by Gameloft

For those of you who use legacy devices, this game gives you 200 levels of bubble entertainment. With all the different bubble games that I have accumulated over the years, you would think it would get overwhelming. This free game takes you through ten exotic locations to solve puzzles and match bubbles as a single player or connect with Facebook to compete against your friends. The controls are easy to use, the puzzles difficult and it’s a decent game to pass the time.

CChecker by Nagy Computer Consultants Inc.

I’ve always said that our App Announcement Forums are a great place to learn about apps and how you can always find something you wouldn’t normally expect there. In this case, I came across CChecker. While not the one that would be used on a daily basis, it helps in cases where you might want to check if a website is down for everyone or something is wrong on your end. This native application tests the entered web address and when completed, displays the results. Available for all BlackBerry 10 devices, it is free to download and has achieved the Built for BlackBerry designation.

WallExpo by Marco Bavagnoli

From the developer behind Avatart and SuperTube comes this useful photography tool. What this app does is give you the option to scroll through a slideshow on your screen while it’s loading. When you plug your device into the USB port, you can not only select photos from your SD and device memory and select transitions, but also choose the accompanying background music from your audio library. Additionally, it is a headless app that when your device is not fully charged, will display a notification to start the show. What more could you ask for from an application? You can download this awesome app for free and it supports all BlackBerry 10 phones. When it comes to permissions, it asks for access to shared files, BBM, device credentials and running in background. While the app is free, there is an in-app purchase to unlock the full version for $ 0.99.

Faster by bbDeveloper

As BlackBerry fans, it’s all about productivity and speed of execution. Say no more with this application. It allows users to use commonly used functions quickly and directly, including the use of direct shortcuts. There are three parts to this app. The first is about quick communication and provides shortcuts to commonly used phone, short messages, emails, and contacts to name a few. The second, the quick start, gives access to common functions such as NFC, battery, display, alarm and BlackBerry World. The third and final section, call vibration, alerts you when a phone call is connected or disconnected. This is an awesome app for daily access to your commonly used features and functions, especially for power users. I dare say I remember Quick Launch when I see this. This useful tool is $ 0.99 with purchase. It requires permissions to access your shared files, phone, and contacts.

Our next pick is a crisp and colorful game for all BrickBreaker fans. Only this time he adds another dimension by being in 3D. In this fast-paced version, you have to destroy all bricks, collect gems, and earn extra lives through endless play. The good thing about this game is that you can get out without losing your progress unless you lose your life of course. Fun and addicting with gorgeous graphics that you won’t be able to let go. You can get it for $ 1.99 for BlackBerry 10.

What you might have missed

Ober by Nemory Studios

If you happened to check out the BlackBerry Beta Zone this week, Nemory released their latest app called Ober. As a hybrid native and web application, it allows users to access the Uber taxi service. There are ads in this version, but these will be removed in future versions through an in-app purchase. In this version there are additional shortcuts, tabs for profile, payment, support, promotions and giveaways, as well as added settings. Be sure to join the program and leave your constructive feedback for future releases. You can create a BlackBerry Beta Zone account for free. Please note that the beta zone is not available in all regions.
