The Spotify app arrives in the world of BlackBerry apps

Spotify finally launched a native app for BlackBerry mobile devices this week, with the addition of a Spotify app to BlackBerry App World.

Spotify has been available on the BlackBerry platform for some time via a browser, but the creation of the new native BlackBerry Spotify app allows users to simply download the app and enjoy new features.

Unfortunately, the new Spotify BlackBerry app lacks all of the features and functionality of its iOS and Android counterparts, like the new Radio service. But it’s a good start and a step in the right direction for BlackBerry users.

BlackBerry users can now download the new Spotify BlackBerry app for free from BlackBerry App World. Spotify for BlackBerry is compatible with the following devices: 9780 Bold, 9700 Bold, 9300 Curve, 9000 Bold, 8520 Curve. Currently, the app only supports phones running on GSM networks. CDMA and Torch 9800 network phones are not currently compatible.
